Aurike Quintelier is an artist and architect based in Belgium. She obtained her masters "Explorative Architectural Design" at the University of Leuven in 2015 and has developed her artistic practice in Switzerland and Belgium ever since. She is currently conducting a practice-led research as a PhD candidate for the University of Tasmania, with supervisors in both the arts and architecture. Her artistic practice has many layers, often working interdisciplinary, and looks for the places where art and architecture meet. Driven by research while operating on a variety of scales, the projects vary between actual buildings/structures, and more conceptual projects, often expressing herself politically. Every project has a strong emphasis on experiment and exploration, trying to find a way to communicate. In function of the message, the medium changes; medium follows message.
