Aurike Quintelier is an architect and artist based in belgium. Her work consists of different media - drawings, site-specific installations, research, architecture (renovation, restauration, new-build) - with which she searches for the connections between people and places. The focus is on making evident existing symbiotic relations and stories, and she often works in collaboration with community, other artists, clients or collectives. In her latest work, the themes interconnectedness and empathy are key, and how the imagining of places can influence these aspects. Quintelier was trained as an architect at KU Leuven, and as of 2023 she teaches the elective course ‘Architecture’ at LUCA School of Arts in Ghent.
